The Taiga
One time when was when I was watching Minecraft videos, I wondered if the taiga biome was real. It is. Taigas are cold biomes, where few plants grow due to the poor nutrient soil. Coniferous trees are able to survive and cover most of the biome. The taiga is home to many animals, such as the beaver, red fox, boreal owl, American marten and the red crossbill. The average temperature per year is 32°F (0°C). The average temperature for the summer can be over 50°F (10°C).
Another name the taiga is the boreal forest. In the map below, you can see where you can visit a taiga biome. It is south of the tundra, which has no trees and is even colder.
